In September, we gathered information about our classmates in order to get to know each other. We practiced tallying and created simple graphs of that data. Now, we are taking a closer look at graphs. We are learning about the important parts of a graph (title, labels, scale, interpretations). We are rotating through some graphing centers where students have to sort or collect data, create a tally chart and also a bar graph that matches their data (with ALL the important parts). We are using number scales on graphs that move in intervals of 2, 5 or 10 which is new to grade 2/3. Great graphing everyone!
